1 Health & Safety

1a) It is the employers duty under the Health & Safety act to make sure all operational staff are aware of the manual handling recommendations under the Manual Handling

  Regulations 1992

1b) Assessments should be carried out covering the TASK the LOAD and the WORKING ENVIROMENT and the capability of each individual

1c) Our Litrature contains most weights, heights and maximum recomended stacking height should you need futher information please contact your supplier or the manufacturer

2 Handling

2a) To reduce risk of injury and damage it is recomended that a sutiable trolly is used to move stacked chairs

2b) Chairs should never be stacked (if they are to be moved) higher than the operator is comfortable with the operator should seek assistance if in doubt to avoid injury or damage

2c) Chairs and chair stacks should never be draged this can damage the chairs and

  other furniture and fitings

3 Storage

3a) Care needs to be taken when the chairs are stacked for storage, uneven stacking can cause damage to the frame finish, fabric finish and frame structure

3b) The chairs are not intended for oudoor use

3c) Chairs should not be stored in direct sunlight damp enviroments or salty air

4 Cleaning

4a) No solvent based cleaners should be used on the frame

4b) Fabrics should only be cleaned with a dampcloth unless the fabric manufacturer specifies alternative cleaners

5 maintenance

5a) Inspections should be carried out by a competent person, check the frame for deformity and cracks in the tube, check the fixing screws and stacking buffers and feet. ALL DEFECTIVE CHAIRS MUST BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE

5b) Schedule inspections should be no longer than 3 months apart and in severe use 1 month apart

5c) There are no user servicible items in our chairs, contact your supplier or the manufacturer for advice on repairs

5d) All the results of any inspections should be documented.
